Short Cuts to Disney from US27

Whilst there are lots of places to stay around the Disney area, each development has it's own charm. It really doesn't make that much difference whether you stay west or east. All the areas are within easy driving distances from the main attractions.

For guests who choose to stay on the US27 near the 192 I have listed alternative routes to Disney below that may save you some time.

1. Travel east on US192 from US27 and take a left on Avalon Road and 2nd right onto Hartzog Road – follow this road, which bears left and then take a right turn and cross new SR429 into Disney.
2. Another option is to pass Avalon Road and continue on the 192 till the SR429 and go north on 429 for 1 junction and take the Disney exit. You will need some change for the tolls on this road. I think about $1.25.
3. Continue along the US192 until you pass the Publix supermarket and SR429. Look out for Black Lake Road (on the left) and turn left into it. Continue along the road till you come to a T junction- this is Sherberth Road. Turn left on Sherberth Road and continue along till you reach the traffic lights. Turn right and you are on Osceola Parkway. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is on the left; continue along for other Disney parks, which are signposted.
4. If you were to continue on the Osceola Parkway this will take you to the I4 and all other Orlando attractions such as Universal and Sea World and also Orlando International Airport.
