Eagle Ridge Mall, Orlando
Eagle Ridge Mall is located just off H27 at Lake Wales, less than 20 minutes south of I-4 junction 55. The mall offers more than just shopping – there is also a 12-screen theatre showing the latest film releases, an antique carousel, soft play area and a newly opened 32-lane bowling centre and arcade with bumper cars and party rooms. With over 90 stores represented, there is plenty of choice for even the most avid shopper. Stores include: Sears, JC Penney, Dillards, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Body Shop and Radio Shack. There is also a branch of Toys ‘R’ Us just outside the main mall. There are numerous other stores available selling a huge range of goods: shoes, jewellery, kitchen equipment, fashion, sunglasses, sporting goods….etc. There is a food court with the usual names in evidence: McDonalds, Subway, Taco Bell, but there are also three restaurants – Garfields, Station House Bar & Grill and the newly opened Joey’s Only Seafood Restaurant. I have personally only sampled Garfields which is an American style family restaurant offering a varied menu at reasonable prices. The restaurant also offers a children’s menu. They do tend to overdo the air conditioning though! Eagle Ridge is my favourite mall. It is not as busy as the Florida Mall, but still offers a good range of shops. I have always managed to find bargains in the large stores, which seem to have sales on at most times of the year!
