A visit to Naples

Naples Florida is located on the gulf coast side of Florida in Collier county, Naples is known for it’s pristine beaches and small town lifestyle. It was once a quaint fishing town.

Naples is built like many American towns that stretches along either side of the main highway and is full of small outlets of retail and offices and hotels but has maintained a clean bright well kept, well cared for and affluent look about it.

It is an area that you like and feel happy to be in and somehow you know you will enjoy before you step out of the car.

For a comprehensive look at Naples then the sightseeing bus is a must.

It will take you to all of the major sights in Naples where you can stop, explore and enjoy this lovely town.

If you are lucky enough to be in Naples at the weekend so much the better, you can mix with the locals and experience life in the slow lane.

A visit to 5th Avenue south is a good stop on the sightseeing bus, on a Sunday they hold a street market with entertainers together with the excellent shops, café’s and market stalls. You can spend a good couple of hours just wandering between the stalls and if your legs get tired just deposit yourself on the benches and watch everyone else lazily enjoying their day.

There are 25 stops on the sightseeing route and Tin City is one not to be missed. Here in this small cluster of shops and restaurants cluster around the mouth of Naples estuary, you can enjoy a drink or two in the bars and restaurants and cast your mind back to days gone by when fishermen would land their catch, sell the freshly caught fish to the merchants at the quayside and of course when you look at all the tin buildings you understand why it is called Tin City.

Situated on Gulf Shore North astride the main road is Venetian village, a delightful place to shop and eat set amongst the inlet of waterways. The shops are up market but the restaurants and bars are reasonably priced and it is a delight to enjoy an alfresco meal at the village pub in the tranquil surround of the waterwayS.

Well worth a visit.

Along with the many miles of beaches Naples is well worth a visit and has something to offer everyone.
