Customer Facility Charges Explained
As of 1st June 2004, the US Government has introduced a new mandatory customer facilty charge payable at certain car hire pickup locations. This is a per day charge and must be paid locally on collection of the car for each day of rental.
The charge only applies if you pickup your rental car from one of the locations mentioned below. It does not depend on which location you return the car to so, for example, if you picked the car up at Miami International Airport and returned it to Orlando International Airport, a charge would be payable for each day of the rental, whereas it you picked the car up from Orlando International Airport and returned it to Miami International Airport no charge would be payable.
The charge per day is shown below. If you opt for a pickup location that is not shown below, the Customer Facility Charge has already been built into the price you pay and you will not be asked to pay it again on arrival.
